I was born in Nairobi, Kenya and moved to Perth when I was about 4 years old. I grew up in the northern suburbs of Perth (Hillarys) and went to St Marks Anglican Community School. I was fortunate to graduate with a direct pathway into dentistry at University of Western Australia, which meant I graduated in 2015 at the age of 22 years old. After working for 18 months I found I was quite young to be a dentist and lacked a lot of life experience, so I decided to solo travel across 4 continents in 2016, and then returned to dentistry 6 months later. I came to realise my passion for dentistry while travelling as it was the first thing I missed while I was away. I returned back from travelling and have spent the last 5 years focused on my dentistry and improving my skills, especially in using the latest techniques and technology. In my spare time, enjoy training in Muay Thai boxing (for the past 6 years), scuba diving (13 years) and free diving (still new), and working on my side business called Dr Grillz which focuses on providing tooth jewellery to clients across Australia. I am extremely passionate about dentistry as we are now in a time where treatment does not have to be a miserable experience, and we now have ultra conservative methods to create smiles which don’t involve damaging the natural teeth in the slightest. I hope to bring you to your desired smile with the least amount of dentistry as possible.
